Title: Garden of the Gods Post by: bev on May 03, 2007, 06:05:47 PM One of our favorite places in the spring is Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. There's a short writeup on it in CTJ. We like sitting and having coffee and a snack in the visitor's center overlooking Pikes Peak and hiking through the red rock monuments. The Trading Post is also a great place to shop. They have really nice artwork.

The Fountain Valley Trail is an easy to moderate hike of about two and a a half miles that is beautiful in the spring with the plants and wildflowers. We usually see herds of deer and occasionally a fox or coyote. The red rock outcroppings are really neat. 8)
