This 35 year old festival is billed as a bluegrass festival, but in it fact hosts a variety of artists performing genres ranging from jazz, folk, and rock and roll, as well as bluegrass.  This eclectic mixture of music eminates from the Main Stage in Town Park in the day and moves to other venues, such as the historic Sheridan Opera House, in the evening.  There are also workshops, songwriting and band competitions, and jam sessions.  The outdoor musical performances benefit from the beautiful natural setting in a San Juan Mountains box canyon, which also has unique acoustical qualities.  This year's lineup includes many top artists such as Ricky Scaggs, Sam Bush, Arlo Guthrie, Ryan Adams, and Bela Fleck.
